Methamphetamine was developed in Asia by a chemist named Nagayoshi Nagai and was used in during World War II with the tank crews to keep them awake during the war. Later it was widely used in Japan to treat narcolepsy, obesity, alcoholism, and Parkinsonism until it was banned by the Minister of Health in 1951.

Vasoconstriction, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, pupil dilation,
anxiety, psychosis, tremulous, hallucinations, paranoia, weight loss, sleeplessness, premature aging, depression suicidal ideation. The most prevalent outward sign is severe tooth decay from the loss of saliva in the mouth.
“Tweaking” is the term for a condition caused by crystal methamphetamine and the symptoms include: twitched, jaw clenching, repetitive behavior, and feeling of bugs crawling under the skin.

Long term effects include symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease
Hitler in the last 3 years of his life was injecting crystal methamphetamine daily as prescribed by his physician for the treatment of depression and fatigue. It is questionable if his Parkinson’s symptoms were really caused by the disease or by his methamphetamine use.
